My friend Ian Cooper showed me Animal Collective when we were in high school together. At the time I remember loving riding in his car listening to these guys. I can picture us riding down the main street in Alliance, OH with this album on full blast from the beater he was driving around at the time with a sound system probably worth more than the car. I love that memory and wish I could go back to that moment whenever I wanted, listening to this album is the closest I can get.
