I asked Alex to give us some background on what this song means to him and here is what he has to say:

I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we all have that playlist of songs that we go to when we hit a dark time of either a day, a week, or whatever. Whether it’s the melodies, singing, or sound effects associated, those songs help us cope with what we feel is wrong. This song is in said playlist because the feelings that come from it’s message. Being in a relationship (not that mine is in any danger, lol) that is one sided is tough enough, but keeping a hold to that relationship because you feel you don’t deserve better is worse. While looking at the lyrics on Genius I found out that The Early November sampled a part of the lyrics for this song from one of their biggest influences – The Get Up Kids on the song “No Love

If you enjoyed Alex’s drum cover, give it a like and go check out some more of his YouTube page and follow what he’s doing.
