Richie Havens – Freedom (Live at Woodstock 1969)


49 years ago today four hundred thousand hippies, freaks, and music lovers from across the nation and around the world gathered on a farm in southern New York. Richie Havens kicked off the festival, but this was unplanned, Sweetwater was set to open before they got stopped by some piggies on their way. To celebrate the anniversary of Woodstock I’ll be sharing a few songs from the festival over the next few days. ✌️

I remember hanging out with my friend Zach years ago when Bad to the Bone came on the radio. The rest of the day we kept going b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bad and stuttering other words, today I was listening to You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet and realized they were doing that same thing so I decided to share my findings!
