Wyclef Jean – If I Was President

Yesterday in speech class we did impromptu speeches, my topic was: “If you were president what would you do?”

That was an easy one because it’s something that I have thought about before.

This is Maslow’s hierarchy of needs pyramid. To reach the top, the bottom must be satisfied first. I know plenty of people who believe that all they can afford to eat and drink is tap water filled with chlorine and bunch of other shit, and food full of pesticides.

Here is the definition of the suffix -cide from the end of pesticide:

a learned borrowing from Latin meaning “killer,” “act of killing,” used in the formation of compound words:

pesticide, homicide.
So basically it is poison used to kill “pests,” I’m sure most of you are already aware of what that meant, but is that something you want to feed your children or yourself? Even if it is only enough toxic material to kill a bug, that stuff will build up in your body. Organic food is usually about double the price, but that price tag is worth it if you ask me.
My answer was, I would provide non-profit housing so that people can live in better and more affordable places. That is my life goal, I am going to be involved in real estate investing so this is something I will be able to provide. Along with that, I would provide access to clean water – not the over chlorinated shit coming out of most of our sinks. Last but not least, I would make organic food more affordable by creating huge taxes on companies that produce GMO filled bullshit, much like the carbon taxes.
“If I was president, I’d get elected on Friday, assassinated on Saturday, buried on Sunday, then go back to work on Monday.” I hope that my ideas become fulfilled whether or not I am able to see it in my lifetime. ❤
