Say Anything – Alive with the Glory of Love

This is one of the first songs I came across from Say Anything, alongside Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too. They very quickly came one of my favorite bands during my freshman year of high school. I don’t listen to them as much as I used to but I still love them. This came on at work today and reminded me I need to give this album another play through soon.

The Early November – Baby Blue (Alex Sadler Drum Cover)
I asked Alex to give us some background on what this song means to him and here is what he has to say:
“I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we all have that playlist of songs that we go to when we hit a dark time of either a day, a week, or whatever. Whether it’s the melodies, singing, or sound effects associated, those songs help us cope with what we feel is wrong. This song is in said playlist because the feelings that come from it’s message. Being in a relationship (not that mine is in any danger, lol) that is one sided is tough enough, but keeping a hold to that relationship because you feel you don’t deserve better is worse. I’ve had relationships that went on too far because I was told I couldn’t do better and as much as I told myself to just go I couldn’t muster up the strength to do it. Listening to this song just helps me know that I moved on to the better thing that I was told wasn’t gonna be there for me.“
