Kanye West – PREACHER MAN

I go where they never can
I float, I don’t ever land
When it’s dark, you don’t know where you goin’
Need a light-bearer to lead you home

He’s back. 3 tracks stand out to me so far from what it looks like is his next album BULLY. PREACHER MAN, LOSING YOUR MIND, and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

I was immediately impressed by the sample in LOSING YOUR MIND I’ve been into that song by CAN for a while now. Think I first heard it on one of the AEIOU projects by Diplo & Tripledouble – vol 2 is amazing, first one is really cool too. The song was also used at the beginning of Inherent Vice where I thought they used the song really well also, great movie.

The samples on PREACHER MAN and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST are also amazing. Pretty excited for this new album honestly. Haven’t been into a lot of the most recent projects honestly, sorta stopped checking them out.. but I definitely will be again now.

My first ever post was, Milky Chance – Stolen Dance.  That seems like so long ago today.

This was one of the first albums I fell in love with back in my “high” school days. I have plenty of memories related to this album, the one that stands out the most was the time me and some friends smoked salvia and then listened to this album, I can remember listening to the track “Into the Sun” with my eyes closed and having one of the best visuals to the song. I imagined looking out of the small window of a hut overlooking a field on an Asian countryside on a beautifully sunny day. That same night, one of my friends dropped the bowl during a hand off, and all of us watched it as it fell to the ground in slow motion. That was a great night.

Give this album a listen, and I’m sure you’ll find something you enjoy. The soundcloud link is included below.
